Pudu's Wong Mee Kee 王美记 Roasted Pork

Another week to Chinese Year. How many times I have been repeating myself? Hehe... This shows how impatience I am for holidays.

First day of CNY falls on Monday and Malaysians get 2 days of gazetted holiday for celebration. Naturally everyone apply 3 days leaves to enjoy more than 7 days off. Those who work in KL like me get additional 1 day holiday on 2 Feb, a replacement holiday for 1 Feb, Federal Territory Day. So a total of about 10 days off, yoohoo!

Due to the long holiday that I will not be having lunch together with peers for some times, I wanted to try out some good food around KL before I go off, also to warm up stomach for CNY big meals. Then I came across this restaurant from Antyong's blog. Without further thought, my immediate reaction after reading the blog, "let's try"...

We arrived there too early, about 11:45am. The roasted pork is only available at 12:30pm...

While waiting, I walked to the back to see how the roasted pork was prepared...

It's almost ready with one last step before serving...

The charred area needs to be scraped before it could be served. And the ready one...

Not only roasted pork, a row of roasted chickens hanging there...

About 12:15pm, the boss was ready to serve the long waiting customers that already filled up the restaurant. Since we arrived third (I guess), our orders came to the table instantly while others were drooling at us...

The signature roasted pork...

And the char siew 叉烧 or barbecued port...

Thumbs up for both dishes we ordered!!

The serving was kinda small, I also did not order many 'cause I would end up be the one to finish everything on the table. You'd know, that is something a guy should be aware of when going out with chicks. Definitely I will bring another 2 babitarian guys along with me. I am 200% certain they will like it as much as I do!

A side note. Look at what's on the wall...

Donation amounted more than RM65,000 for charity by the boss. Salute.

This is the location. You can also find it in MFM or MSM map...
