Eat Junk In Healthy Way

Ok, this is the very first post I talk about food preparation. Nay, not that special, just if you know me, most of the times I rather die in hungriness than prep a meal for myself, especially if I needed to sacrifice my zzz time, NO WAY man!! This is why I really appreciate when one prep something for me like this. Very da' touchy~

Nevertheless, I am not bad in cooking you'd know. Really! I cooked 3 dishes for dinner, I cooked porridge, I fried rice and noodle, I cooked 汤圆 Tang Yuan, I prep chickens for barbecue, and of course I cooked Maggie. Those who stayed with me in Melaka should know. So today, let's Chef Jacko teach you how to eat junk food in healthy way. Hehe...

First, prep this. Cadbury's Bytes, the main ingredient. It's cereal puff with chocolatey center. Few packets depending how big your stomach room...

Then milk. Not necessary MariGold, any brand, any flavor you like and low or full cream or fat free whatever you name. I prefer full cream pasteurized fresh milk like this, with high calcium...

Now, dump Bytes cereals into a bowl...

If you are not that hungry, take your time to cut the cereal into half so that the chocolatey can dissolve into the milk later for better taste...

Pour the milk into the bowl...

Stir it and you can see the fresh milk turns brownish 'cause of the chocolatey, so the milk will taste a little like chocolate milk...

And walla! Ready to serve...

Let's see the how much fat in this serving.

On the packet, Cadbury's Bytes labelled 16.1g of fat per 100g serving. One packet is 35g, so say if you take 2 packets, then the fat is 11.27g. On the milk, it's 3.5g of fat per 100ml. Say you drink 400ml, so it's 14g, a total of 25.27g fat you gained. Hmmm... Not bad as it's 38% of the recommended RDI in Wikipedia, 65g for a day. You have more than 60% to go for the remaining meals of the day.

On the calories. Bytes labelled 439kcal per 100g and the milk is 65kcal per 100ml. With the same estimated serving as above, you gain 567.3kcal. It's just mere 28% of the recommended 2000kcal diet per day!

So try it! If you are bored with those corn flakes, this is a good alternative.

Belum cuba belum tau; Sudah cuba mesti mau!

Never try never know; once tried sure ask for more!

Hehe...
