Hing Ket Grill House 庆吉烧烤海鲜屋

I am a genuine Ah Beng, have been living in this hometown since I born. I'm not a fan of grilled food but shameful to say (since it's in my hometown), it's was my first visit to this restaurant, Hing Ket Grill House 庆吉烧烤海鲜屋...

Not many parking lots, so you must be early to reach the restaurant, may be before 7pm.

You will walk pass the kitchen before enter the restaurant. The grilled crab in making...

Since it's the first visit, 3 of us had the boss to recommend us their signature dishes and just agreed with whatever it is.

While waiting for the main dishes, we were offered with this snack as starter rather than the typical peanuts...

Nothing so special about it. I don't know the name but you can easily get it at biscuit stall in pasar malam. But it tasted so good that I had missed it for more than 10 years I would say! I must go buy it next Tuesday's pasar malam! And the snack really stimulated my appetite.

While waiting, you could prepare yourself with different sauces for dishes...

The lime chili sauce...

The mint sauce...

And the sambal sauce...

The first dish, lamb chop (~RM21) was served within 20 minutes after order...

It's served with some fresh vegetables like cucumbers, tomatoes and pineapples to freshen your tongue. The chop was so tender and it's not chewy that you don't need to saw it with your teeth. The chop was also fresh that you could eat it on its own without the mint sauce.

We had the second dish served while we were enjoying the chop...

The Lala meehoon (~RM11), or clams noodles. The taste is normal like other restaurants that serve this dish, but the difference was the quantity of the clams that we got out from this dish, bloody a lot!

The third dish was a grilled giant crab (~RM25)...

I believe the crab was grilled plain without any sauces and salt. It tasted very fresh, but this was normal to me as other restaurants could grill the same as long as the crabs were fresh.

Followed by the fried oyster with egg (~RM8)...

My favorite dish! The oysters were big, fresh and juicy...

And the last dish was ikan bakar (~RM9)...

My another favorite! The grill was so perfect that the inner part was not scorched. Also, the whiteness of the flesh could justify the freshness of the fish and the spice was so stimulative that you would move your fork to the plate one followed another, non stop!

Thumbs up! Overall I was so satisfied with the dishes. I was also regretful, why did I only visit the restaurant now?! Some more the price was so reasonable that you probably have to pay triple to enjoy those in some classy grill house in KL. You must pay a visit if you happen to be around Klang area.

Here is the location...

It can be found in MFM maps. GPS Coordinates: N3 01.909 E101 28.669. But be cautious when turn into the restaurant regardless which direction you come from. The restaurant is located at a winding corner, you might be rear ended if you make sudden brake to turn in. Be sure to put on turn signal in advance, or make a U turn at the safe place if you miss the restaurant.
