Melaka (Malacca) Chicken Rice Ball

On my way to KiasuLand, we made a pit stop at Malacca town center for lunch. My last trip to Malacca was exactly a year ago, also during my KiasuLand trip, so it's time to refresh my tongue with those "balls" at this restaurant, Hoe Kee 和记 Chicken Rice Ball Restaurant...

We reached the town around 12:30pm, the restaurant was full but fortunately there's no queue outside the restaurant...

Unlike old time, not only chicken rice balls, the restaurant now also serves other varieties...

AXian 阿贤 was also here before, way after 9 or 10 years I had my first meal there. Wakaka... Very kiasu huh? :P 'Cause I studied there mah and may be I should also make something like him with my figure. Haha...

42 years old business...

From a usual British colony wooden shop, the restaurant has been renovated to have more Chinese traditional decorations or elements...

Back to the meal, where's it??!! ~Hungry~ Oh, still "in progress"...

And there you go. The chicken with cucumber...

The "balls"...

The wholesome meal for lunch with the chili sauce...

It's like missing a piece in a puzzle if without the black soy sauce...

Yummy~

I prefer Malacca's Chicken Rice Ball over Ipoh's Bean Sprouts Chicken Rice. The rice balls taste nicer and the chicken is more of home cook style than Ipoh's commercialized cook style. That's just my personal preference though.

By the time we finished our lunch, the crowd begun to build up...

By the time we walked out...

There are other similar restaurants at the same area but I used to go to Hoe Kee since first time when my Malacca friend brought me there. Perhaps next stop I shall try this restaurant that is located just beside Hoe Kee with comparable crowdness...

Burp~ The best thing to do after meal of course is ZzzZzz. Hihi... :@) *piggy*. By the time I woke up, we were already on the Second Link Bridge to KiasuLand...

I was not traveling with my lovely FD with in-car navigation this time, so I highly dependent on my Wind to bring me to my cutie darling...

And proven, long life Wind never failed me!

    2. where do you place your msi in FD? i have the msi with 6 cells and got no sweet spot to put the msi without the heavier screen drop to the back. :(

  2. Hey, u spotted an error!! fast fast go report it to mfm!! :) I suspect He Ji = Hoe Kee but someone submitted wrong coordination. I am very sure there is NOOOO chic rice shop opposite Chung Wah chic rice shop! Unless the shop newly open last week!

  3. Oh, on FD I dun use MSI 'cause I have my in carnav system ;) I only use MSI when I do tracking but I place it on top of the center console box or sometime the front passenger seat if I am alone. I don't think there is place on the dash to steadily secure MSI for easy view, my cousin and I thought of getting the mounting like what Singapore cabs have :P hehe... Try go to hardware store (like the one in Jaya33) to find if there is any good mount stand.
