Story of Ah Bengs and Ah Lians

What a mess on the table.

If you are observant, you might see 2 Ah Bengs (in the box) on there...

Ah Bengs were "surgically operated" on the table, not for warranty claim but RAM upgrade right after purchase...

What Ah Bengs am I talking here?! Here is the Ah Beng with its brand...

Yes, It's BenQ. The BenQ JoyBook U101 SE25.

The world likes to name First Lady, First Dog, First whatever, I also have "First Ah Lian" in my social ring too, the first female owner of BenQ Joy Book in my group. Although the brand sounds Bengish, but the First Ah Lian really happy with her Ah Beng, err, the BenQ JoyBook that never fails her with its performance (What "performance" har?). No problem no headache after 9 months of ownership. So, she recommended to another 2 Ah Lians to join the Ah Beng fan club, err, BenQ JoyBook fan club. In total, now I have 3 Ah Lians in the group. And I was the Ah Beng consultant from Pa Sang who actually helped 3 of them to negotiate the deal. Attempted to recruit the 4th Ah Lian, but too short time to convince her. Never mind, may be next PC Fair. Hehe...

So what's the deal this round? This is the general spec for RM1299...

Topped up RM300 to get better spec with free external DVD writer...

The JoyBook U101 SE25 also with extended warranty, laser mouse, keyboard protector, RAM upgrade, cap etc etc. There were few more, I just couldn't remember all the freebies the 2 Ah Lians got from the deal. Really really good deal, plus I met a chick at the booth whom I lost control to sing "Oh my Crystal~" to her. Hehe... Her name was Crystal.

I also recommended the 12 inch Ah Beng to both of them...

Size does matter. Ah Lians didn't like and selected the 10 inch. I thought 12 inch longer than 10 inch which means Ah Lians should fond and get excited with longer size? Hmmm... Oh, we were in different business, the IT business not the Ikea (bed) business. :P

I also like Toshiba NB200 with its solid build and one of the Ah Lians quite liked it...

Somehow, we did not manage to negotiate a good deal out from it. No Crystal there, that's why lor.

So 3 Ah Lians, do we have 3 Ah Bengs, I mean real human Ah Bengs here? Let's do match making. Hehe...

By the way, no technical review this round. You may refer to the posts I blogged when First Ah Lian bought the First Ah Beng.

More and more netbook users in my ring. May be should arrange a "jom minum" sessions with all netbooks on the table at cafe in Pavilion or Solaris. Hehe...

Hope Ah Lians happy with their Ah Bengs. I guess soon or later I will get technical call from them.
