My Honey Moon

My life has been hectic for weeks. Works, trainings, night conferences and so forth, finally I decided to take a break to go for my honey moon. Well, perhaps I have neglected something or someone important in my life, I just need to recall the sweetness that I might have missed after this while due to busy work and "bitter" life that I am struggling.

I have been eying a visit for I guess a month or so after I first discovered this place, and glad that I waited no more now to realize my honey moon trip to this place...

The My Honey Moon Dessert restaurant. Oh to clarify, not "my honey moon" trip, a trip to a restaurant named My Honey Moon. :)

As its slogan suggests, eat their desserts make you feel like you are in honey moon. And you can see this yellow mascot everywhere...

On the food. On the cutlery...

And the last one to greet you when you make payment...

But... Errr... Frankly, I think the mascot looks like an XXX icon, the one with 2 balls and one stick. :") What so shy, it's penis lah!! Don't you think so? LoL.

Anyway, this isn't a porn blog, let's have a peep on the menu...

As shown above, the desserts are categorized by different series just like typical dine in restaurant, with appetizer, main course and so forth. I got a snow mountain...

Priced at RM12 and the serving looked small. Then got a signature dish...

The durian pancake at RM9.

Now the real serving...

The serving surprised me, it's huge as oppose to the picture in the menu. And you can it's as tall as my netbook...

Another surprise from this snow mountain...

The dessert was sweet until when I slide the ice cream to the bottom. This reddish layer of raspberry (or ??) was sour that helped to recover the numbness on my tongue (due to sweetness and ice) and to eat more.

Now the durian pancake...

The look was very ordinary, just like other durian pancakes you can get it at other restaurants or stalls. But to be precise, I don't know why it's called pancake, it's rather a puff to me. Whatever.

Let's cut it to see how much durian they stuffed in...

Not much, less than half the size of the pancake... or puff. The puff was filled with fresh cream (or icing) more than the durian. However, unlike other similar pancake that you get from other malls, the durian was quite fresh that the aroma smell filled the surrounding air as soon as I cut it. It would be perfect if the pancake was stuffed with durian of at least half the size. I wonder what's the reaction if there was mat salleh sitting beside me.

Oh, I forgot about the setup...

The sofa is nice but the table is a bit too low. If you are tall or you need to read or work on laptop, you may feel strain on your neck after some time.

Overall the desserts were good and I like the concept of dessert specialty. You can hardly find such dessert restaurant in Malaysia, certainly I would revisit for other desserts.

It's in One Utama. Pay a visit if you happen to dine in the mall or somewhere nearby, or just walk out from the cinema with your loved one. Enjoy your "affordable" honey moon there. :)
