A Wet X'mas Countdown...

Many tourists visit Singapore during Christmas time. Especially the famous Orchard Road, which is a shopping heaven to many and also the prettiest street in Singapore during X'mas and New Year time with many decorations on the street as well as in the malls.

I tend to avoid crowd most of the times. I hate those idiots stand still talking on phone and blocking the crowd flow, I hate those buggers walk in a horizontal line occupying the entire pedestrian path and hogging the traffic, I hate selfish donkeys standing right in front of entrance or escalator like a guarding dog disallowing people to enter/exit the building or escalator. Bla bla bla...

I visited KiasuLand several times in the past at the same festival time but I avoided the crowd and spent my time at other less crowded places. Unusual me, this time I planned to experience the eve atmosphere at Orchard Road during my trip, so I spent my day time outside of Orchard Road and move over to Orchard Road during night.

Not only at Orchard Road, big X'mas tree like this could be seen at every corner...

Small one like this...

And this...

Some other decorations...

And even a bearful X'mas tree like this...

Wandering from malls to malls and I passed by this booth...

Write your wish on the ball and the balls would be floated on a pond or river (I can't remember the place name) later to make your dream comes true. It's cyber century, you can also submit your wish online.

It started to rain when we moved to Clarke Quay for dinner. We walked around the area after meal enjoying the surrounding atmosphere...

Another 4 hours plus to the celebration...

Different timezone different countdown...

Let's move to Orchard Road before the countdown celebration started.

Nice blend of colors...

Snowing effect...

Some areas in Orchard Road were fully packed with people, also idiots, buggers, donkeys and dogs like I described above...

But some areas were not so crowded...

The rain was getting heavier and the crowd traffic was almost still at certain areas, the MRT entrance in particular. Arggh! It was getting stuffy and I could smell mixture of Rexona, CD, CK, D&G etc etc. Lucky enough could get you some "sticky effect" when someone sweat like hell passing you.

I gave up. Let's count down at home. Hehe... So that's all about my X'mas countdown at Orchard Road, a wet X'mas countdown!

But how could I answer when friends ask me how's X'mas in Orchard Road? So I returned to Orchard Road the next day, and took few photos...

Oh, the last one is not an X'mas decoration, I was impatiently waiting for the pedestrian light to turn green. Hehe...
